Signosis Sprl (SIGNOSIS)
Signosis is a Brussels based consultancy specializing on managing research activities and on providing innovative advisory services. Signosis possesses a diverse and in-depth knowhow in management consulting and its advisory areas range from Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to social policy and sustainability, as well as to additional disciplines focusing on promoting and implementing innovation in private and public organisations. Signosis positions itself in the international market, aiming to contribute on the transition from a traditional economy to an economy based on knowledge and innovation. Signosis has the vision to become the most innovative company in managing knowledge as a commodity aiming to explore and develop all necessary mechanisms and breakthrough practices in order to achieve the goal of managing knowledge resources coherently, timely and effectively.
Elena obtained a Diploma in Mining and Metallurgist Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus. She has significant research and managerial experience in the ICT and consultancy sectors. Ms Tavlaki has worked for the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A. (OTE). From 1991 to 1997 she held various positions in the business units of Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Structure, Strategic and Business Planning. In 1997, she was member of the team involved in the establishment of COSMOTE, OTE’s subsidiary in mobile telephony. Between 1998 and 2005 Ms. Tavlaki worked for the Research Programs Division of OTE Group, where she coordinated or participated in more than twenty (20) national and EU funded research projects. From November 2008 to June 2011, she was the Director of Research Projects in ARACHNI Ltd, an Athens based innovative IT company, where she was responsible for the management and implementation of large FP7 research projects. Since 2011, she is Director and Senior Partner of SIGNOSIS Sprl., a Brussels based research and consultancy organization, where she is responsible for the management of all EU funded research projects.
Dr Maria Doula, graduated from the Athens University, department of Chemistry and holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D in Industrial Chemistry. She has worked for Research Institutes in Greece and has been involved in various research projects. She is an expert in soil contamination, movement and adsorption of heavy metals and nutrients, soil remediation, soil management, methods of soil/water/plant analysis, water contamination and purification and has substantial experience in instrumental analysis.
James studied economics and political science at the Katholieke University of Leuven. James has worked in the past for local authorities and private companies and has participated as an expert in various projects, in the field of local development. He possesses wide experience in the management and monitoring of EU funded projects. He joined Signosis in 2011 and since then he has been involved in the organization and coordination of research activities.
Dimitris, was born in Athens, Greece. He studied Law at the University of Athens and has postgraduate degrees from the University of Warwick and Trinity Hall Cambridge. He has significant research and consulting experience in the fields of sustainable development, employment and social protection and has managed a great number of projects related to policy formulation, adoption, application and evaluation of sustainability standards, the design, management and evaluation of international projects and the strategic reform of public institutions. He has also led CSR and sustainability consulting projects for big corporations and he has worked in research organizations and international institutions and has served as an advisor for local authorities as well as to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
